Neighborhood Schools Matter

  • Stronger Communities: Families build lasting connections when children attend local schools.

  • Equity & Access: Walking/biking distance reduces transportation barriers.

  • Student Success: Small community schools help ensure kids don’t get lost in the shuffle.

  • Long-Term Stability

Write or email School Board members about what you want to see out of a long range plan. Key points to include:

  1. Share what community schools mean to you, and why they should be included in Beaverton’s future.

  2. Ask the district to prioritize strong student outcomes in facility planning.

  3. Explore program options at Raleigh Hills, such as restoring it to K-8 or bringing in a language program.

  4. Plan community involvement ahead of the next bond. If consolidation is a possibility, be upfront so communities can prepare and build support.
